ABOUT US
The MET School of Architecture and Interior Design (MET-SOAID) Library, located in Govardhan, Nashik, serves as a comprehensive repository of information and resources accessible to its designated community for both reference and borrowing purposes. Emphasizing both physical and digital access, the library endeavors to provide efficient and effective services to support the teaching, research, and extension activities of the institution.
The overarching vision of the MET SOAID Library is to maximize information services within minimal timeframes and through various mediums. It aspires to establish a cutting-edge knowledge resource center for architecture, design, and related disciplines, striving to offer exemplary services to its users. Guided by principles such as knowledge dissemination, service excellence, integrity, and collaboration, the library operates in accordance with the Five Laws of Library Science and upholds core liberal, democratic, and humanistic values.

A library is a collection of sources of information and similar resources, made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to material. An effective library and information service is the main aim of MET-SOA library. It is growing with the time to support the teaching, research and extension activities.

Library Timing
08:00 am To 04:00 pm (The library remains closed every Sunday, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Saturdays and on National holidays except university exam schedules.
Library Advisory Committee
Library Advisory Committee of MET SOAID Library supports the library in making its own decisions unanimously for major decisions like budgeting, selecting book vendors, purchasing and recommendation preparations, development of the library, etc. Library Advisory Committee conducts at least 2-3 meetings per year to evaluate and resolve the issues related to functioning of library.
Library Services
MET SOA Library is just not a resource centre but a service centre for resources. MET SOA Library is a very good service provider for extended library services like reprography, scanning and documenting, Book exhibitions, and orientation for Library usage and research writing, Website, Email and WhatsApp readymade and customise services as per users need. It also supports all institutional activities and helping as a backbone for institute. It helps in University examination as well as Admission drive. It supports research and cultural actives also.
Library Rules

Library will remain open for the reader on all working days except Sundays, National & Public holidays. Library Timing is 08:00 am to 04:00 pm.

Registration is compulsory to become a library member prior to using the library resources & services

Each user (faculty and student) must sign in and out his/her name in the respective library attendance register/s

Students are supposed to keep their bags, personal reading material and other belonging in the belonging racks

THE LIBRARY STAFF ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OR DAMAGE OF STUDENT'S BELONGINGS

Please maintain total silence in the library and Student must wear ID card in the library

Use of mobile phone, Smoking, Eating, sleeping and talking loudly, prohibited strictly inside the Library.
Issue –Return Rules

Core Faculty will be allowed to issue 2 books per subject he/she is teaching, for two weeks and renew after 14 days if needed but if someone needs these books then he/she will not allowed to renew.

Students will be allow to issue only one book for 14 days. The students may renew the Book if needed for more 10 days but if someone need the book then he will not allow renewing it.

One copy of the text/ reference book will be preserve in the library as a Reading Hall Copy. The reading Hall Copy will not be allowed/ available for issue.

Readers’ should not write in, mark or otherwise disfigure/damage books, (marking with pencil; writing or highlighting, tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way) furniture, etc. The readers are liable for punishment with fine if either they misbehave or damage the book or any other property of the library.

User’s cooperation and gentle behaviour with the library staffs is expected.
